On this Thanksgiving Day, the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Glenham Fire District and the Officers & Members of the Glenham Fire Department extend our warmest wishes to our community, friends, and families.
Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the many blessings in our lives and to recognize those who make our community a better and safer place to live.
π We are especially grateful for our dedicated volunteer firefighters, who selflessly give their time, energy, and talents to protect our neighbors. Whether responding to emergencies in the middle of the night, leaving family gatherings, missing special occasions, or spending countless hours training and preparing, these men and women willingly put the needs of others ahead of their own.
Their commitment is particularly meaningful during the holidays, when emergencies don't take a day off and our volunteers remain ready to answer the call, even while celebrating with their own families.
We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the spouses, children, and families of our volunteers. Their patience, understanding, encouragement, and sacrifices make this extraordinary level of community service possible.
To our residents and local businesses, thank you for your continued trust, generosity, and support of our all-volunteer fire department. Your support helps sustain a tradition of neighbors helping neighbors that has served our community for generations.
We also recognize our fellow first responders, military personnel, and all those spending Thanksgiving serving and protecting others.
From our fire service family to yours, we wish everyone a safe, healthy, and Happy Thanksgiving! ππ¦πΊπΈ
